Antique Victorian 9ct Rose Gold & Turquoise Lucky Bean Charm

£195.00

Fabulous 9ct rose gold lucky bean charm set with a lovely turquoise cabochon

Lucky bean charms were particularly popular in the Victorian era, when much of the jewellery that they wore had a sentimental purpose.
By association with the '“forget-me-not” flower, the turquoise gemstone symbolised true love, remembrance and faithfulness.

This charm is in good antique condition, and the turquoise stone is secure in the setting.
There are some very minor dings and scratches to the front of the bean.
On the back of the bean, there is also a dent to the charm near the top - please see images.
Please note that the jump ring has not been soldered shut, and this charm is hollow.

The charm measures approx. 9.1mm x 18.2mm (excluding the jump ring)
Weight: 0.83g

This piece is not hallmarked; however, it has been tested and is confirmed to be 9ct gold.
As we have dated this piece to the Victorian era, it is not required to have a hallmark to be sold as 9ct Gold.
Additionally, as this piece weighs under 1g, it would not require hallmarking by today’s standards either.
