Enchanting Art Deco pendant that encases the wing of the Morpho butterfly, native to South America.
This style was exceptionally popular in 1920s-30s after it was exhibited by the English company, Thomas L. Mott.
This particular pendant has been hand-painted to depict a scene of a Crinoline Lady
This pendant is in great condition with minor signs of wear.
No visible damage or staining to the butterfly wing.
Some small dings to the reverse.
Stamped 'SILVER' on the reverse and has tested as sterling silver.
This piece does not present any hallmarks, as we have dated this piece prior to 1950 and have confirmed its purity via testing; a hallmark is not required under UK legislation.
