Enchanting Art Deco pendant that encases the wing of the Morpho butterfly, native to South America.
This style was exceptionally popular in the 1920s- 30s after it was exhibited by the English company Thomas L. Mott.
This pendant is in good condition with some signs of wear.
There is some staining to the butterfly wing; however, it still has a lovely glow.
Some small dings to the reverse; the bail has also been replaced.
Stamped '.925' on the reverse and has tested as sterling silver.
This piece does not present any hallmarks, as we have dated this piece before 1950 and have confirmed its purity via testing; a hallmark is not required under UK legislation
